Sarrancolin
Sarrancolin, a small town in the south – west of France, is well-known for numerous variety of marbles, mined since middle-age. The Sarrancolin marble was initially quarried for local use by the Romans. Then quarries were closed and reopened during the 16th century.
The neighboring of Sarrancloin is one of the best astronomical sites in the world where one can outsmart light pollution and catch a glimpse of our galaxy’s Milky Way.
The Sarrancolin marble is a blend of cream, yellow, pink and grey chunks, which is symbolic to the Milky Way sight. The surface of the marble offers red and white calcite veins.
Sarrancolin has been used for the large fireplace in the Hercules Salon and in Queen Marie Lecszinska’s bedroom in Staterooms of Versailles and now it is adorning the gorgeousness of THE STONE SAGA’s exotics.
Sarrancolin can be used for floor, wall covering, fireplace, furniture, countertops, mosaic and other design projects.
